BUJUMBURA April 19th (ABP) – The Minister of Public Service, Labor and Employment, Mr. Thaddée Ndikumana, proceeded on Monday, April 18, 2022, to the opening of a capacity building workshop for human resources managers on the management of workers’ mobility and the ownership of the fair salary policy document in Burundi, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.
In his speech, the minister clarified that civil servants are not condemned to remain in public work until their retirement age. They need capacity building and especially in project management that will allow them to conquer the international labor market.
He added that there must be a new planning within the civil servants of the State, because, according to the new salary policy, the calculation of the salary will depend on the performance.
To that end, Minister Ndikumana further pointed out that the implementation of that new policy is expected towards the beginning of the fiscal year which will start with the month of July of this year.
