Bujumbura February 16th (ABP) – The ravine located in Kiriri-Vugizo, Rohero Zone in Mukaza Commune worries the surrounding people, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

Some people from that locality who spoke with the ABP Thursday, February 10, 2022, indicate that if nothing is done as soon as possible, inter-district relations could be practically impossible.

To get more information, the deputy head of the Kiriri-Vugizo district Mr. Barazikiririza said that this ravine has already been known for a long time because the local representation of the district does not stop showing it in successive reports submitted to the commune level.

According to him, the local representation of the district always organizes community works to face that ravine while planting bamboo to try to stop the landslide but in vain.

The deputy head of Kiriri-Vugizo, adds, moreover, that the situation has already exceeded the means and the techniques and notes that, if nothing is done, the situation could be aggravated.

Thus, Mr. Barazikiririza asks for the rapid intervention of the State as they have recently done on the Ntahangwa river.
