BUJUMBURA October 22nd (ABP) – The President of the Republic of Burundi, Mr. Evariste Ndayishimiye, received in audience on Wednesday October 20, 2021, at the Ntare Rushatsi House, Ambassador Abdalla Hassan Obaid Hassan Alshamsi of the United Arab Emirates in Burundi, with residence in Kampala.
At the end of the audience, the spokesperson for the President of the Republic of Burundi, Mrs. Evelyne Butoyi, informed the press that the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates had come to present to the President of Burundi the credentials as Ambassador to Burundi.
Mrs. Butoyi also stressed that the two personalities seized the opportunity to discuss the means and strategies to be adopted to strengthen cooperative relations so that they can move forward.
She also recalled that cooperation relations between the Republic of Burundi and the United Arab Emirates date back to 1976.
