Officials and professionals of the judicial system are called upon to work in compliance with the existing legislation in Burundi

BUJUMBURA August 26th (ABP) – The Burundi Head of State, Mr. Evariste Ndayishimiye, at the same time Supreme Magistrate, hosted Tuesday August 24, 2021, in Bujumbura, a moralization session on good governance and patriotism in the place of officials and professionals of the judicial system of Burundi, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

In an interview with the media, the spokesperson for the Head of State, Mrs. Evelyne Butoyi, indicated that the President of the Republic invited those concerned to discuss with them and see together the problems that undermine the judicial system, in that moment when the population is not satisfied with the services of the justice sector.

President Ndayishimiye, who insisted on the patriotic spirit which must characterize all magistrates, they recalled that they are guarantors of fair justice and that they must improve their performance, said Mrs. Butoyi. That is when, she said, corruption and embezzlement are making headlines in the justice sector.

The President of the Republic also urged all magistrates to have a patriotic spirit and to invest themselves in satisfying the Burundians in order to guarantee fair justice, said the spokesperson for the President of the Republic, adding that the Head of the State asked the magistrates to work in compliance with the existing legislation in Burundi.
