The establishment of the multisectoral steering committee of the “Nkuriza Project” was on the agenda of the Cabinet Meeting

BUJUMBURA June 24th (ABP) – The  Cabinet met on Wednesday June 23, 2021 in the Ntare Rushatsi House under the chairmanship of the Head of State, Mr. Evariste Ndayishimiye, with nine items on the agenda.

This is the draft decree establishing the multisectoral steering committee (CPM) of the early childhood and demographic control project called “NKURIZA Project”, presented by the Minister in charge of Public Health.

The draft joint ordinance setting the treatments of permanent military teachers, and fees of non-permanent military and civilians at ISCAM, the draft ordinance relating to the granting of supervision costs to healthcare facilities for health professionals supervising interns from the Military Paramedical School (EPMM), the draft joint ordinance granting fees to civilian professors and members of the jury at the Military School of Trades (EMM) were presented by the Minister in charge of National Defense.

This is also a Concept Note on the insurance and subsidization of agricultural loans in Burundi, the bill on the ratification by the Republic of Burundi of the grant agreement for additional financing for the landscape restoration and resilience project between the Republic of Burundi and the International Development Association signed in Bujumbura on May 24, 2021 presented by the Minister in charge of the Environment.

The Information Note on the second batch of the Project “access to satellite television in 10,000 African villages” was presented by the Minister in charge of Communication.

The draft memorandum of understanding between the Republic of Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo concerning the joint development project of the Uvinza-Musongati-Gitega-Uvira-Kindu standard gauge railway (SGR) section Gitega-Bujumbura / Uvira – Kindu was presented by the Minister in charge of Transport.

In the Miscellaneous items, this is an Information Note on the construction of the RN5, Chanic-Airport section, in relation to public lighting presented by the Minister in charge of Infrastructures and a Note on the street children-related issue presented by the Minister in charge of Social Affairs.
