Messenger Ngozi is crowned champion of the Primus League 2021 edition

BUJUMBURA May 25th (ABP) – The 30th and final day of the Primus League for men’s Premier League teams was played on Sunday, May 23.

At their stadium, the Elephants Fc from Bubanza were largely dominated by Kayanza United by 0-8. Inter Star lost to Musongati Fc from Gitega, 0-3 while Bujumbura City and Bumamuru Fc drew 2-2. It is the same score between Royal FC from Muramvya that played Muzinga Fc of the Ministry of National Defense. At their pitch, Messager Ngozi defeated Flambeau du centre Fc 2-0. Rukinzo Fc of the National Police defeated Vital’o Fc 1-0 while Olympic Star from Muyinga lost at their pitch to Aigle Noir 2-3.

At the end of the championship, Messager Ngozi was crowned champion with 55 points, tied on points with its runner-up Kayanza United. Messager Ngozi team exceeded its runner-up considering the difference between the goals scored and the goals conceded: (+16 goals) for Messager Ngozi against (+15 goals) for Kayanza United.

Flambeau du Centre from Gitega occupies 3rd position with 54 points; Aigle Noir from Makamba is 4th in the general classification with 53 points. Musongati Fc from Gitega is in 5th place and Rukinzo Fc of the National Police is 6th tied for 50 points but with the difference in goals scored and conceded: (+18 goals) for Musongati Fc and (+6 goals) for Rukinzo Fc. Vital’o Fc is 7th with 44 points.

Olympic Star from Muyinga is the 8th and Royal Fc from Muramvya is the 9th and are tied at 42 points and stand out in relation to the difference in goals scored and conceded: (+ 5 goals) for Olympic star of Muyinga and (+4) goals for Royal Fc. Burundi Sport Dynamik is 10th with 41 points; Bumamuru Fc from Cibitoke is 11th with 39 points.

Athletico Academy is 12th overall with 37 points; Bujumbura City is 13th with 36 points. Inter Star is 14th with 31 points; the Elephants from Bubanza are 15th with 25 points. Muzinga Fc of National Defense is last with 12 points.

The first 2 teams in the ranking – Messager Ngozi and Kayanza United – will represent Burundi in the major meetings of the interclub African Cup of Nations. The last 3 in the general classification – Inter Star, the Elephants from Bubanza and Muzinga Fc of the national defense – are relegated to the 2nd division.
