BUJUMBURA, August 9th (ABP) – The President of the Republic, Mr. Evariste Ndayishimiye, held, on Thursday, August 8, 2024, a moral talk, for the executives appointed by decree, of the ministry in charge of finance. According to Mr. Ndayishimiye, this moral talk aimed to refocus on the work that the executives from that ministry must accomplish.
The head of the executive body said that this ministry has made progress in the management of public affairs following the government’s new vision of an emerging Burundi by 2040, especially with the introduction of the system based on the budget-programme in the finance law.
However, he appealed to some of the executives of that ministry who have not yet committed to change their approach.
The head of the executive body thus informed the executives of the same ministry that the year 2025 is under the sign of the start, in the framework of the generation of wealth for Burundi. In this regard, he said that the role of the agents of that ministry is to take all the necessary measures to design, plan, and inform the country’s decision-makers on how to proceed to generate wealth.
The President of the Republic said that the beginning of 2025 will be a year of takeoff, while inviting everyone, as far as they are concerned, to take ownership of it, for the benefit of the entire population. For him, a rich and prosperous Burundi will be a reality, everyone just has to get involved.
