NGOZI, July 11th (ABP) – The chairperson of the Independent National Election Commission (CENI), Prosper Ntahorwamiye, proceeded on Monday, July 8, 2023, in Ngozi, to the presentation of the members of the new Independent Provincial Election Commission (CEPI) in the new province of Butanyerera. It is made up of 10 people including 3 women and 7 men, 6 Hutu, 3 Tutsi and a Twa. The chair is Mr. Minani Désiré who, moreover, led the CENI Ngozi during the 2020 elections; he is Hutu from the ruling party, CNDD-FDD. He is assisted by Mrs. Nzemezimana Janvière, a Tutsi from UPRONA. Logistics are managed by Célestin Minani, a Hutu from ONELOP. The members are Migambi Placide, Bimenyimana Achel, Rukundo Suavis and Maître Bavugubusa Celeus, Misago Gervais, Nsavyumukama Rose, and Ntunzwenimana Alexis.
The chairperson of the CEPI wanted to reassure them and asked them to work in good collaboration and synergy for the success of the elections.
