GITEGA, July 4th (ABP) – On Tuesday 2 July, the Umugiraneza Polyclinic of the Bonne Action Umugiraneza Foundation received a donation of 76,659 US dollars from the organization Youth with a Mission (YWAM). The polyclinic is located on the Kibimba village, in the Kabanga area of the Giheta commune in the province of Gitega (central Burundi).
The donation included an examination table, examination gowns, vital signs monitors, medical isolation gowns, a portable ventilation system, medical chairs, syringes with needles, portable mobile sinks and slippers.
YWAM’s national director, Jagen Gouramani Nzuguri, said the donation was a gesture of support for the good initiatives of the foundation, which was set up by Burundi’s first lady, Angeline Ndayishimiye. It is also a sign of the strengthening of the partnership between the two parties.
The coordinator of the Umugiraneza Foundation, Aimable Sindayikengera, who received the donation, said it would help improve the services provided by the polyclinic. The polyclinic’s main mission is to provide quality care for children, mothers and the elderly, in addition to its general services.
