MAKAMBA, July 2nd (ABP) – On Saturday 29 June 2024, at the Nkurunziza Peace Park Complex stadium in the capital of Makamba province, the Black Eagle team won the final match of the 4th edition of the Nkurunziza Cup. They beat the Spanish team, ADF La Rambla, 3 goals to 0, according to ABP.
The closing ceremony included a long parade, dances and games performed by young majorettes from 5 provinces of the country. The event was attended by the Vice-President of the Republic of Burundi, Mr Prosper Bazombanza, the former First Lady, Mrs Denise Nkurunziza, the founder of Pax Burundi, Mr Révérien Ndikuriyo, members of parliament, members of the government, managers and executives, the Managing Director of Lumitel Burundi, Mr Phan Truong Son, and a large number of spectators.
Black Eagle CS was awarded a trophy and 15 million Burundian francs.
The mobile phone company Lumitel Burundi sponsored the 4th edition of the Nkurunziza Cup championship.
