MURAMVYA August 29th (ABP) – Officers native to Muramvya province (center-west), teamed up in their association ANACOM participated on Saturday August 26, 2023, in community work related to the paving of the interior of the multi-purpose hall under construction at the provincial police station. They were also carrying a gift consisting of twenty bags of cement. With the pavement of the remaining part of that infrastructure, the native officer candidates, the members of the Scout movement of the Muramvya commune and the non-commissioned officer candidates of the school of police brigadiers distinguished themselves in that community work.
In his welcoming address, the chief of staff in the office of the governor of the province, Christophe Nemeyimana, thanked officers native to Muramvya for the support given to their colleague responsible for the provincial police station, Edouard Mukoko, the initiator of the project currently being implemented.
During the delivery of 20 bags of cement to the provincial police commissioner, the leader of the Association of Officers Native to Muramvya, Mr. Egide Nitabara, said that they wanted to follow in the footsteps of others who have already given their part, including the high authorities of the country.
For his part, the provincial commissioner commended that initiative of native officers worth more than one million Burundi francs. He also clarified that among the needs of that multipurpose hall under construction are cement, windows, doors, paintings, to name a few.
