NGOZI September 22nd (ABP) – The governor of Ngozi province (northern Burundi), Emmanuel Ntaconsanze, accompanied by the director of the Provincial Office of Environment, Agriculture and Livestock (BPEAE), visited Wednesday September 20, 2023, farmers supported by the Tubura program of the NGO One Acre Fund in Ntaho village, Mugomera zone in Ngozi commune and province.
It was during a series of visits to distribute inputs and other agricultural products that this NGO organizes with local authorities, to inquire about the impact of the projects it sets up to support farmers in different provinces.
On that occasion, Emmanuel Ntaconsanze said he was satisfied with the support of the Tubura program and asked it to extend its intervention to other communes in Ngozi province.
He asked the farmers benefiting from those products to redouble their efforts, and reiterated his support for all initiatives aimed at intensifying agricultural production.
The farmers present on site who benefited from the inputs did not hide their satisfaction. According to them, the program came at the right time because they will be able to benefit from the support necessary for agricultural intensification.
