On that occasion, the first lady of Burundi underlined that the first lady of China has supported, on several occasions, the Umugiraneza foundation, as well as the association of the first ladies of Africa. She added that they came to materialize the Sino-Burundian ties in that center, and the friendships between China and African countries.

This aid comes on the eve of the celebration of the day dedicated to youth and the celebration of the feast of the Holy Spirit, the first lady has noted, before urging people to love one another.

She thanked the Calcutta missionaries who show their love in caring for those youths and adults in difficulty.

For her part, the Chinese Ambassador to Burundi said that those young people are the future of the country. She commended that presence to help them. She said that Sino-Burundian ties are long-standing, and that China has stood alongside Burundi and African countries. China is committed, according to her, to promoting health and education in Burundi and in African countries.

The governor of Bujumbura province, Mr. Désiré Nsengiyumva, warmly thanked the first lady who takes that province to heart.
