Appeal to natives of the province to contribute for development

BUBANZA April April 30th    (ABP) – The governor of Bubanza province (north-west of Burundi), Cléophas Nizigiyimana, accompanied by MPs elected in the constituency of Bubanza and native cadres, joined the inhabitants of Musigati commune, in community development work, of April 22, 2023, which consisted of the concreting of 12 classrooms of ECOFO Musigati I, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

In his speech, Governor Nizigiyimana invited the inhabitants of this commune to give, each his contribution for communal development, taking the right reference to the commune which has already given materials worth more than 11 million Fbu and an individual who has already contributed approximately 40 million BIF, for the construction of those 12 classrooms.

He also called on the inhabitants of Musigati commune to devote them to household development and prepare for the C 2023 cropping season. Here, he asks them to remove the sugar cane which dominates almost all the marshes of this commune in order to plant food crops there, while always consulting agricultural technicians.

All this, he continues, with the aim of increasing agricultural production, which will lead to lower prices, but also the municipality will benefit from it for taxes and duties which will facilitate the implementation of communal development projects, he adds.

The governor of Bubanza took that opportunity to call on those inhabitants,  to family planning, to the safeguard of peace and security which, according to him, remain major pillars of development.
