KAYANZA February 17th (ABP) – The governor of Kayanza province, Rémy Cishahayo, calls on fraudsters to do battle with their despicable practice while stressing that a fraudster caught in the act risks losing everything he has long sought.

According to Governor Cishahayo, traders who continue to engage in fraud are not far from the enemies of the country as they squander the public treasury for the benefit of another country.

To do this, he makes it known that such traders are to be fought. Although the provincial authorities continue to sensitize the people to get rid of fraud, the police jointly with the communal administration of Kabarore, constantly seize fraudulent products in transit to Rwanda. By way of illustration, 480 kilograms of potatoes were seized on Tuesday, February 14 in Gisagara village. To that quantity of potatoes are added 75 kilograms seized in Buvumo village and 90 others seized in Kibati village. In total, 645 kilograms were seized in the Rugazi zone on the same day.

For investigation reasons, nine people including six men and three women are in the hands of the police, according to the communal police commissioner in Kabarore.

It is worthy to recall that 400 kilograms of potatoes had been seized on February 6 in the Manga village.
