GITEGA January 23rd (ABP) – The ruling party, CNDD-FDD, officially launched at Gitega airfield (center of the country) in the afternoon of Thursday, January 19, 2023, a three-day thanksgiving prayer to say thank you to the Lord for all the benefits that Burundians have received in the past year and to show Him the new year 2023, a check in Gitega by ABP revealed.

In his opening speech, the secretary general of the CNDD-FDD party, Mr. Révérien Ndikuriyo, called on the authorities of the party and those of the country to no longer mistreat the people because, according to him, it is thanks to them that they are above the others. Hence, according to him, those leaders will have to take account of it in their daily actions.

Taking the floor, the President of the Republic, Mr. Evariste Ndayishimiye, informed the Bagumyabanga that this period is a good time for them to pull themselves together. He called on Burundians to integrate prayer into their families because, according to him, whoever believes in God can never fail.

The Head of State also appealed to the leaders who continue to go to marabouts or who use fetishes to abandon that bad behavior which, he revealed, causes a curse to others even if they love prayer. He said that he will soon start the campaign to fight against those leaders who curse their country.

At the level of the word of God, the preacher of the day, Reverend Pastor Denise Bucumi Nkurunziza, pointed out that there are still ill-intentioned people who do not want Burundi to be further developed. She called on true patriots to always wake up very early in the morning to pray for the country, but also to go to work very early. Mrs. Denise Nkurunziza also encouraged the Bagumyabanga in particular and Burundians in general to love labor and prayer. She also called on leaders to familiarize themselves with prayer, reading the word of God and working for the people in order to boost the national economy.
