GITEGA January 23rd (ABP) – On the second day of the interfaith thanksgiving prayer organized by the CNDD-FDD party in Gitega (center of the country), on Friday, January 20, 2023, lessons were delivered for leaders and officials of the various institutions, at the Magarama airfield.

In his preaching, Pastor Pierre Claver Ndayisenga indicated that a beautiful leader must have people who bless him and others who curse him. He suggested that the Bagumyabanga should promote good to achieve sustainable development in the country.

He also called on leaders to avoid pride, to be humble, to know how to face the obstacles they encounter in their missions, to be trusted leaders, to prioritize community interests instead of their own ones, to have the responsibility to change the things that are not working in society, to name but a few.

The servant of God Ndayisenga reminded those leaders that leadership is constituted by the fact of strengthening unity and remaining in the alliance.

On his part, the President of the Republic, Mr. Evariste Ndayishimiye, deplored the behavior of certain authorities who do not repent and continue to consult the marabouts, despite the lessons they receive each year. He pointed out that he will start a fight against them and that he will punish those who will be caught.

The Head of State also invited the Bagumyabanga to understand that they have the mission to convert those who behave badly in society and that he himself has started a fight to put an end to all the lamentations that are in the people.

As for the secretary general of the CNDD-FDD party, Mr. Révérien Ndikuriyo, the leaders should always concentrate on the work with all their strength and should never be afraid when they defend the interests of the citizens when there are problems, and this is where their bravery shines, he said.

Mr. Ndikuriyo asked those officials of the different sectors of the country to have a vision as soon as they acquire the position. This, according to him, will allow them to assess how they have or have not developed the position they occupy. Based on this, the CNDD-FDD secretary general invited the leaders to always do research to develop their knowledge.
