The Head of State welcomed the torch of peace

MWARO November 14th (ABP) – The people of Mwaro province along with local administrators welcomed Friday, November 11, the torch of peace from Bujumbura province; noted the ABP on site. The handover and recovery took place on the Mubarazi River separating the Gisozi commune of Mwaro and the Mukike commune of Bujumbura where Governor Désiré Nsengiyumva handed it over to his colleague Col Gaspard Gasanzwe.

The torch was then transported to the center of Mwaro where it was welcomed by the President of the Republic of Burundi Evariste Ndayishimiye. Subsequently, the torch illuminated several development works in Mwaro where the Head of State inaugurated a multipurpose room Etoile du center Mwaro.

Other development works took place in Ndava commune. In the evening, the torch continued on its way to Muramvya province, passing through Rutegama commune.
