Official launch of the second international women’s cycling tour

BUJUMBURA October 26th (ABP) – The Minister of East African Community Affairs, Youth, Sports and Culture Amb Ezéchiel Nibigira launched on Monday October 24 in Bujumbura, the 2nd international women’s cycling tour with eight countries in competition. These are Burundi, Ghana, Uganda, DRC, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Tanzania and Benin.

In his speech, the Minister in charge of sports welcomed the various delegations who came to support their teams while inviting them to endorse a feeling of friendship and brotherhood.

Amb Nibigira also promised that his ministry will continue to support cyclists even in future editions while facing the challenges that have manifested in the 1st edition and those that will manifest in this 2nd edition.

The director of the Burundian cycling federation, Mr. Arnaud Ryumugabo, also expressed his satisfaction towards the ministry of sports for having spared no effort to make this competition possible.

When that international cycling tour will last five days from October 24, 2022, for the 1st stage on Monday, it is an Egyptian who came in first position.
