Warning against anyone causing disorder

CANKUZO September 12th (ABP) – The governor of Cankuzo province (eastern Burundi), Mr. Boniface Banyiyezako, during a moralization session on patriotism in Mishiha commune, Thursday, September 8, 2022, warned the people disturbing order in the provinces, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

During that session, Governor Banyiyezako recalled that the leaders and the population were united. According to Banyiyezako, the bases of development such as the customs and mores that characterized them are now disappearing when they should be at the center of the education of the child, he continued.

As a result, the governor deplores the habit of adopting the behavior of foreigners and the forgetting of the mother tongue “Kirundi” calling on parents to safeguard it while teaching it to their descendants even when one is at home.

Reacting to the bean fraud and speculation on Brarudi products which were mentioned by the permanent secretary of that Mishiha commune, Mr. Pascal Niragira, the governor of Cankuzo pointed out that we have not yet understood what it is love of country. He then asked the population to avoid anything that could compromise the country’s economy.

He also urged the people to follow the advice given by the leaders and to support the programs of the President of the Republic aimed at inclusive development.

In addition, Governor Banyiyezako warned anyone who sows disorder in that province. There, he was referring to the followers of the “Abasohoke” church, not recognized by law, but who organize their worship under the trees in Mishiha commune. On this subject, the public prosecutor, Mr. Ferdinand Bazikwankana specified that these followers commit an offense of rebellion, reason for which he and the governor recommended their arrest and bringing to justice, once resumed this illegal worship.
