KAYANZA August 11th (ABP) – The Governor of Kayanza, Mr. Rémy Cishahayo received in audience on Wednesday August 10, 2022 in Kayanza, the German Ambassador to Burundi, Mr. Dieter Reinl. Their discussions focused on the revitalization of the twinning between the Kayanza province and that of Badenwürtenberg in Germany.
At the end of the audience, Governor Cishahayo announced that in view of the renewal of this twinning between the aforementioned provinces, there is a delegation from this province of Germany which will come on August 16, 2022 to visit the province. Kayanza. For him, the twinning between the two provinces will undoubtedly lead to the development of the Kayanza province, especially since Germany has contributed in the past by equipping the Kayanza hospital and the Kayanza craft center.
Regarding other projects on which they discussed, the Governor of Kayanza spoke of the establishment of a federation bringing together more than 800 companies from the 262 villages that make up the Kayanza province and the construction project of the provincial office from Kayanza.
In turn, the German ambassador to Burundi pointed out that before being welcomed by the governor of Kayanza, he and his team had gone to a coffee pulping-washing station, especially since the Germany imports coffee from Burundi. It is for this reason that he met Germany’s coffee partners living in this province. He then visited the Rwegura hydroelectric dam and the thermal waters of the locality called “Ku Mahoro in Kabarore commune”.
