MUYINGA May 17th (ABP) – The First Vice Speaker of the National Assembly, Dr. Sabine Ntakarutimana, on Saturday called on young people affiliated with different political parties, working in Muyinga province (north-eastern Burundi), to consolidate their unity through political tolerance and grouping in self-development cooperatives.

Mrs. Ntakarutimana made this appeal during self-development work, carried out by young members of the cooperative of young entrepreneurs from different political parties in Muyinga (COJEPPM). This work consisted of digging ponds in the Kanyamangati marsh, on the edge of Muyinga and Gasorwe communes, with a view to installing fish ponds.

Those young people affiliated with different policies work in a cooperative for self-development, a way of staying in constant contact, but also a privileged framework for dialogue to settle any disputes.

Addressing those young people, the First Vice-President of the National Assembly urged them to consolidate peace and unity in order to develop themselves, in order to serve as a model in the Burundian political landscape. The cooperative of young entrepreneurs from different political parties operating in the province of Muyinga (CO.JE.P.P.M) was born in 2021, it is recalled.
