RUYIGI April 5th (ABP) – The national coordinator within the permanent secretariat of the multisectoral platform for food security and nutrition in Burundi, Dr. Célestin Sibomana calls on the heads of the various public and private services working in the province of Ruyigi d’ integrate into their projects activities aimed at improving food security in their province.

That appeal was launched on Saturday after a day of awareness-raising to encourage these leaders to change their attitude in terms of health and nutrition and to work together in the food and nutrition security sector.

The governor of Ruyigi province, Mrs. Emerencienne Tabu, calls on all sectors of life in this province to join forces so that food security is always a reality in this province.

As Dr Célestin Sibomana pointed out, the problem of illnesses linked to malnutrition still exist in several localities in Burundi, and all Burundians have a duty to come together to set guidelines and decide what needs to be done. in practice so that food insecurity is no longer spoken on the territory of Burundi and especially that malnutrition is definitively uprooted in Burundi.

He advised that the benefits of balanced nutrition and safety are countless; a well-nourished child with a balanced diet is more advanced and better assimilates the material learned in class more than one who has experienced malnutrition problems. His physical and cognitive development is greater and safer, he said. To this end, Dr. Sibomana asks the entire population of Ruyigi and especially administrative officials, those in the public sector, as well as in the private sector, to ensure the future of their children by giving them a healthy and balanced diet. He also indicated that a good balanced diet is possible if and only if the whole population comes together to produce better quality and quantity.

Same story from Governor Ruyigi who reminds us that unity is strength and that coordinated and synergistic actions have much more impact and yield than dispersed forces.
