KARUSI January 10th (ABP) – The office of the Mutumba communal commissariat in Karusi province (central-eastern Burundi) was inaugurated on Friday January 7, 2022. It is a block housing office, housing and the dungeons. Those premises were built thanks to the efforts of the police, the administration and the people, led by the provincial commissioner Mr. Donatien Bizimana.

The block consists of an office of the municipal commissioner, two offices for two municipal JPOs, a police room, two rooms serving as a dungeon for women and men, as well as a small reception room.

The provincial commissioner revealed to a check by ABP that the construction of that block was carried out thanks to the efforts of many contributors, because the situation in which the police were living was deplorable, he stressed.

Mr. Bizimana said that the presidency offered cement, the province and a Muslim association gave metal sheets, the supervisory ministry delivered the doors and windows, the provincial police station found planks from eucalyptus trees. of their property, while the commune, the police and the local population took care of the workforce.

Very satisfied with the achievement of the objective as he had done in Bugenyuzi in the year 2019-2020, the provincial commissioner, is already thinking of drawing from the situation, the communal police stations of Shombo and Gitaramuka, because, he said, those of Gihogazi and Nyabikere are living a little better.
