MAKAMBA January 7th (ABP) – An infant of about 4 days old was found on Wednesday January 5, 2022 by the police in the Matonge quarter at the headquarters of Makamba province (southern Burundi), abandoned by an unidentified person behind a bistro in a maize field, a check by ABP has revealed.
That infant was in a bag covered with a loincloth.
Police transported the infant to Makamba District Hospital for first aid and possible vaccinations before being returned to the orphanage.
