KAYANZA December 21st (ABP) – The governor of Kayanza province (northern Burundi), Colonel Rémy Cishahayo, joined the Christians of the Beloved Church located in the headquarters of that province, in the Sunday prayer of December 19, 2021, a check in Kayanza by ABP has revealed.

In his address of greetings to Christians, he expressed satisfaction with the coexistence between different religious denominations and called on their members to strengthen unity and social cohesion.

Addressing Christians, the pastor of the Beloved Church in the Matongo region, Anthère Ciza, called on Christians of that church to serve as role models wherever they are and in everything they do, especially to self-development, community and integral development work.

At the same time, he invited the faithful of the Beloved Church of Kayanza to join the cooperatives massively because, he explained, unity is strength.

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread across countries around the world without sparing Burundi, Governor Cishahayo urged religious leaders to help raise awareness among the people on barrier measures to block the road to this pandemic.

He took the opportunity to inform that this time around, there will be no vigils during the end-of-year celebrations, and this in order to limit the spread of coronavirus, hence he recommended to representatives of religious denominations operating in Kayanza province abide by that measure, especially since it was taken for the interest of the country and its people.
