GITEGA September 16th (ABP) – The First Lady of Burundi, Mrs. Angeline Ndayishimiye, received in audience, on September 15, 2021, at the headquarters of the Bonne Action Umugiraneza foundation, located in the commune of Giheta, in the province of Gitega (center of the country), the Italian Ambassador to Burundi, with residence in Kampala (Uganda), Mr. Massimiliano Mazzanti.
At the end of the dialogue, Ambassador Mazzanti revealed to the press that the purpose of his presence was to inform the first lady of the arrival in Burundi of the medical equipment that the Italian government had promised to the aforementioned foundation.
He specified that the equipment in question worth $ 100,000 is kept in the ALCHEM pharmacy.
According to Mr. Mazzanti, it is sophisticated and next-generation equipment. He announced that the Italian government plans to finance the branch of orthopedics at the location of the polyclinic of the aforementioned foundation, located in the premises of the same foundation.
The first lady of Burundi expressed her heartfelt thanks to the Italian government. She let it be known that part of the material will be donated to the Gitega fistula treatment center and that another part will be donated to the polyclinic of the Bonne Action Umugiraneza foundation. This health infrastructure will also deal with the treatment of infertility in couples, the First Lady of Burundi said.
