The Head of State of Burundi pays a visit to Kenya

BUJUMBURA May 31st (ABP) – The President of the Republic of Burundi, Mr. Evariste Ndayishimiye, accompanied by his Better Half, Mrs. Angéline Ndayishimiye, at the invitation of his Kenyan Counterpart Uhuru Kenyatta, is paying a State visit from May 31 to June 1, 2021 to Kenya during which he will take part in the ceremonies relating to “Madaraka Day” scheduled for June 1, 2021, according to a press release from the Office in charge of Information and Communications in the Office of the President of the Republic.

According to the press release, that visit will offer the two Heads of State the opportunity to explore ways and means to strengthen the fraternal relations that link the people of Burundi to those of Kenya.

Among the subjects of common interest that will be discussed include multisectoral cooperation, namely the state of implementation of pre-existing partnerships and the signing of new agreements.
